This weekend Marlene's brother, Marty, and sister-in-law, Wanda, visited. We had a great time - they like touring historic sites so we crossed the river and went to four different places in two days: a Vanderbuilt mansion, the FDR home in Hyde Park, Olana farther north, and Martin Van Buren's home, Lindenwald. I sat out the actual walking-around part of the tours and used the time instead to read and take pictures.
On the right is a photo from Olana. Of course you wouldn't know from the image where it was taken. I was not drawn to the houses themselves and, instead, spent my time with the landscape, spring flowers, and one chipmunk.
I'm too tired tonight to try to write more, but I have a group of photographs that I hope to add to the photo gallery very soon.
